John Paul II's pilgrimage teachings directed to the theological circles of Cracow

Summary: In this article the author makes an analysis of all John Paul II's texts from the main papal pilgrimages, with the exception of Skoczów, where the Pope's visit was connected with the canonisation of blessed Jan Sarkander at Ołomuniec in Moravia and was directed to the Cracow theological circles. At the end of the article the author also mentions John Paul II's contacts with the Lublin Catholic University at that time. I think that after all that has been said in the text one may, without any exaggeration, conclude that the main theme of John Paul II's pilgrimage messages to theological the circles of Cracow was the problem of financial security and further development of The Papal Theological Academy in Cracow. John Paul II devoted the most attention to blessed Jadwiga Anjou, the Queen of Poland and the founder of its Theological Faculty which belonged to The Jagellonian University for 557 years. The celebrations connected with the 5th Papal pilgrimage to Cracow will serve this purpose and honour the 600-year long common heritage of both universities under the auspices of the Pope himself.
