The Baltic University Programme, the Institute of Geography and Spatial Management at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and the Tatra National Park have a great pleasure to welcome to the 2nd International Hydrological Workshop Sustainable water resources management in high mountains in the Baltic Sea Region. The Workshop will be held in Zakopane (Polish Tatra Mountains) from June 10th to 13th, 2019.
The aim of the workshop is to get a relevant knowledge about new monitoring and sampling techniques for analyzing hydrological processes and organizing a hydrological monitoring network addressed to different purposes in the high mountain region, and to get a skill in hydrological measurements with modern instruments applied in hydrological research.
The workshop is addressed to young scientists (PhD students, bachelor and master degree students and other).
During field works all participants will have an opportunity to take part in hydrological measurements with modern instruments and observe a hydrological monitoring system operating in the Tatra National Park supervised by hydrologists from the Department of Hydrology, Jagiellonian University.
Participation in the workshop gives an opportunity to get 3 ECTS and Diploma signed by three partners: the Director of the Baltic University Programme, the Rector of the Jagiellonian University, the Director of the Tatra National Park.
